Support the Artists of Asheville

While many may think of Asheville for its beautiful scenery and proximity to the Appalachian Trail, it is as notable for the countless artists and artisans who work and exhibit there. There are hundreds of studios and galleries in Asheville, from the booths in a charmingly converted Woolworth Building, to the galleries of Biltmore Village, to the once- vibrant River Arts District, which, prior to extreme flooding from Hurricane Helene, was home to more than 200 artists working and exhibiting in converted warehouses along the French Broad River. The artists and artisans of Asheville have suffered a significant loss of income due to the lack of fall tourism this year and, in many cases, the loss of their studios, finished pieces, and art materials and supplies.

BID IN OUR SILENT AUCTION

via email or in-person at the Clubhouse

The gifted artists whose works are featured below, have generously agreed that all proceeds above their cost to produce these works will be donated to ArtsAVL, an organization whose work has been instrumental in developing the vibrant Asheville arts community and has been a leader in supporting them in this difficult time. Whitney Parris-Lamb is in close contact with ArtsAVL and she and Rachel Safferstone have worked with them and the artists to make these works available for auction.

To bid, either place a “best and final” bid in one of the silent auction boxes at the Clubhouse during the fundraiser on Sunday, November 10, or email your bid to rsafferstone@gmail.com by Tuesday, December 3. Simply indicate the work you would like to bid on and your maximum bid. The highest bid for each item will win the artwork.
